WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
- Real talk, zero judgment - Come as you are—tears, tangents, TikTok references and all. We’ll meet in a space that’s grounded, affirming, and fully human
- Therapy that actually fits - Sessions are collaborative, flexible, and catered to who you are (and where you’re at). We make it work for your real life—not a textbook version of it.
- Therapy with heart (and humour) - We’ll talk about hard things, but we’ll also laugh (probably about weird brain stuff). Connection and playfulness help us do the deep work.
- Mali will probably join us - She’s our Chief Executive of Comfort and Chaos. Expect tail wags, soulful stares, and the occasional snore during deep moments.
- You set the pace - This is a team effort, and you’re the expert on you. We’ll set goals together and adjust as we go—no pressure to be “fixed” fast.
-
Evidence-informed, identity-affirming - I draw from solid clinical tools and practices—but I ditch the clinical coldness. Your identity, culture, and neurotype are always respected here.
Therapy Approach
Therapy with me is more than just talking—it’s about rolling up our sleeves, getting a little curious, and even laughing along the way. We’ll untangle the tricky stuff together, celebrate your wins (big or small), and make room for every part of your story—awkward moments and all.
WHY THERAPY HERE FEELS DIFFERENT
- You won’t get therapist-speak. We use real words. The kind that make sense when you’re overwhelmed, parenting through chaos, questioning your identity, or trying to function with a brain that forgets it has laundry in the washing.
- Tailored support, not therapy-by-template. Yes, there might be a worksheet—but only if it makes sense for your brain. Therapy here flexes around you, not the other way around.
- Affirming, not pathologizing. Whether you’re queer, trans, neurodivergent—or all three—I see your whole self, not just your symptoms.
- Therapy with a dog in the room (literally). Mali’s the unofficial co-therapist. She brings grounding, joy, and a healthy disregard for personal space. It helps.
- Rooted in respect, backed by credentials. As an RCSW, I can diagnose, assess, and treat mental health conditions—but I lead with empathy, not ego. Therapy here is legit and human.
